SUNDANCE

PORTRAIT OF COMMON SUNFLOWER

Native to North America the sunflower was cultivated by American Indians as long ago as 3000 BC. Grown for its edible oil and fruits, the sunflower is believed to have been introduced to Europe by Spanish explorers at the beginning the 16th Century. Several varieties were immortalised by Van Gogh in a series of paintings that were completed in 1888 in Arles, France.

Sundance is available as a matt-finished limited edition print on fine art paper. You may purchase your print below or first order a swatch - see the page headed INFORMATION. Please feel free to get in touch with me via the CONTACT page if you have any further questions.
