Native to North America the sunflower was cultivated by American Indians as long ago as 3000 BC. Grown for its edible oil and fruits, the sunflower is believed to have been introduced to Europe by Spanish explorers at the beginning the 16th Century. Several varieties were immortalised by Van Gogh in a series of paintings that were completed in 1888 in Arles, France.
Sundance is available as a matt-finished limited edition giclée print on either fine art canvas or fine art paper. Images are shipped in either reinforced flat-packs or reinforced poster tubes with acid free tissue paper to protect the surface. You will receive your image ready for finishing, i.e., stretching and framing in the case of a canvas (or just stretching), or framing if printed on paper.
