PERPETUITY

IMAGE OF SAMARA (MAPLE SEED CASE)

A number of flowering plants and trees produce seeds in sealed carriers resembling wings. These winged carriers are known as samaras. When samaras fall, they spin and fly in the wind spreading their seed across a wide area.

This samara originates from the Norway maple, a deciduous tree that can grow to excess of 25 metres in height.
